New Member Introduction

Getting started in a new gym and beginning a new fitness program can be intimidating. I strongly recommend that each new member schedule a meeting with one of our Certified Personal Trainers to discuss the introductory training programs we have available to make your transition here more comfortable and productive.

1. Orientation Session – One of our Certified Personal Trainers will take you on a tour through the entire gym. He/She will inform you of each piece of equipment that is available to you, what it is used for and the correct form when using it. During this orientation session you will have the opportunity to discuss your personal goals with your trainer and he/she will advise you on a program that will help you to reach your goals quickly and safely – The orientation is FREE with your membership.

2. Jump Start Program – Your Jump Start Program begins with a consultation and fitness assessment by one of our Certified Personal Trainers. Through a series of questions, simple exercises and drills, your trainer will determine your fitness level including strength, endurance, core strength, balance, and flexibility. With this information he/she will take you through 3 training sessions tailored to your personal goals. At the end of the sessions you can either continue to work with your trainer or branch out on your own. If you choose to be independent a detailed written program will be provided in the weeks to come. The Jump Start Program is $200.

Meet the Personal Trainers

Rob Pouliot – South Park Fitness is owned and operated by Robert Pouliot.  He has a degree in Exercise Science and Business Management from Montana State University, and has been certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. He has successfully operated his own personal training business for over 25 years and is a published health and fitness author. Rob is an expert in all areas of fitness and specializes in core strength, posture improvement, balance, bad backs, and injury prevention.

Rob believes that core strength is essential, that using basic compound exercises will maximize results, and that consistency is a must. Sessions are $75/hour.

Kaylene Victorio — Meet Kaylene, local mom of a high energy toddler and spunky pup! In addition to her NASM personal training certification and B.S. in Nutrition, Kaylene is also a Certified Senior Fitness Specialist and Certified Prenatal Specialist who takes a holistic approach when training her clients.

“Although my clients may not realize it, I consciously work on their ability to connect with their bodies each session by helping them to become aware of the importance of each movement pattern in each prescribed exercise. Once you become connected with your body the results will follow.” Kaylene teaches our Women’s Circuit Training class on the weekend, our mid-week Stretch + Strength class for members 50 yrs + and has guided a handful of her female clients into their third trimester and some up to their due date. Free consultation and mini session to all new clients. Marco Vitali – Muay Thai, Kick Boxing and Self-Defense Instructor. Marco has been training in martial arts since the age of 16 and has worked and trained in many well-established facilities in San Diego County. While training at Club Knockout, Marco’s life long dedication earned him the title of Muay Thai Instructor. He received his personal training certification while training at the La Jolla YMCA.

Marco believes that training in Muay Thai allows people of all levels to benefit from greater self-confidence, technique, balance, and power. Sessions are $65/hour.
