Strength

Most of us know that strength training (with free weights, weight machines, or resistance bands) can help build and maintain muscle mass and strength. What many of us don’t know is that strong muscles lead to strong bones. And strong bones can help minimize the risk of fracture due to osteoporosis.

1

Core

Strong core and abdominal strength helps prevent injuries, improves posture, and gives a sense of balance, integration and a foundation for all other forms of excercise including weight training and cardio training.  A strong core coupled with proper  alignment when executicing weight bearing excercises or weight lifting excercising is crucial to safe and effective practice.

Nutrition

Rather than snacking,  drink plenty of water.  Water helps with your muscle recovery and makes your skin beautiful. Many people are very dehydrated, especially in the summer.  Choose  nutrient dense foods and stay away from the processed stuff. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables and high quality proteins are all you need.

Circuit Training

Circuit workouts are designed to get the blood pumping by alternating exertion between upper and lower body focused exertion. If you keep switching, your blood will keep moving and eventually get your heart rate up. This type of exercise will help people lean out and build some muscle at the same time..

Strength. Balance. Longevity.
